View From A Blue Moon

Released on November 11, 2015, View From A Blue Moon is already the top grossing surf film of all time. The film is John Florence and Blake Vincent Kueny’s follow-up to the award-winning DONE, which was made in association with Wedge & Lever. Following DONE’s global success, Hurley (a subsidiary of Nike) and Brain Farm (a production company) were brought on for the next project. When the planning of View From A Blue Moon began over three years ago, we knew that visual aesthetic and authenticity would be critical to establishing a genuine connection with the audience. Using our proprietary brand sensory methods, we collaborated with Florence and Kueny to craft the film’s mission and vision, which ultimately guided the decision-making process for everything from production techniques to the launch strategy. It was essential that all facets of the film inspired the audience to feel as if Florence was a close friend they admired greatly. Since its release, View From A Blue Moon's reception has been overwhelmingly positive by both fans and critics alike. Endemic action-sports media have deemed it the greatest surf film of all time, and the numbers back such bold statements up. On iTunes, it reached the No.1 spot among all sports films worldwide, as well as the No.2 spot among all movies on the global platform. The record-setting launch earned View From A Blue Moon the coveted designation as the top grossing first week ever for an action sports film. from
